From the 22 July – 2 November the fifth Creative Folkestone Triennial will be taking place. This year’s exhibition, titled ‘The Plot’, invites visitors to consider urban myths and their relation to verifiable realities: the gap between the story and the actuality.

During this period, the Brewery Tap UCA Project Space, located in the heart of Folkestone’s Creative Quarter, will be running it’s own exhibition programme which will be included in the Folkestone Triennial Fringe Associates Programme. This is a great opportunity to be part of the bustling hive of creative activity that fills the town every 3 years.
We’re welcoming group exhibition proposals from current students, graduates or alumni from UCA. We’re particularly interested in proposals which explore the theme of ‘The Plot’.
Please see details of how to submit your proposal below.
Submit a proposal for:
- a 2 week exhibition with 2-4 alumni, graduates and/or students work
- including names, proposed work with dimensions and medium
- preferred exhibition dates
- 3 images of work by each alumni, graduate, student
- 250-500 words outlining the exhibition concept
Exhibition dates (inclusive of install and take down):
10 – 23 August
24 August – 6 September
7 – 20 September
21 September – 4 October
5 – 18 October
19 October – 1 November
We will offer:
- Marketing support
- Refreshments for exhibition opening
Please note:
- 2 members of the group will need to be present for invigilation between 10:00-17:00 Thursday-Sunday for 2 weeks.
- Exhibitors must be present for installation which will take place on the Tuesday and Wednesday prior to exhibition opening
- Exhibitors must also be present for the take down of the work and making good of the gallery on the Monday following the last day of the exhibition
- The opening event will take place on the first Thursday of the exhibition between 17:00-19:00
